Pioneer EFX-1000 Performance Effector Digital Effects Processor
The Pioneer EFX-1000 is the next generation of Effectors and the first to offer the highest possible audio quality with a 24-bit/96kHz digital sampling system and 32-bit digital sound processing. Thanks to a bypass function, you can process effects with their original high sound quality.

The EFX-1000 builds on the unique features in previous Effectors by including a wide range of sound effects in an easy-to-manipulate system. Sound effects include Delay, Echo, Pitch Echo, Trans, Flanger, Filter, and Phaser.

The EFX-1000 is also the first of its kind to either beatmatch in sync with one of its preprogrammed rhythms or measure the BPM and beatmatch with the tempo of the music. The EFX-1000 also lets you select from high, mid, or low frequencies so-for example-you can apply an effect to the high frequencies only.

The large, easy-to-use Digital Jog Break gives you control over effects like Jet, Wah, Phase, Shifter Ring, Zip, Humanizer, and Vocoder. You can even set a hold switch to maintain an effect and free up a hand. The Jog Memory Play can remember the dial's movements once or in a loop. You can also modify the balance of the effects and the depth of the original sound. All these features and more give you all the tools you need for creativity on the decks.

Brought myself into the 21st century last week with 2 CDJ1000 's and 2 EFX1000's. These babies will have you grinning for hours. More possibilities here than you can shake a stick at. I did get the XONE-92 mixer to bring the above and a pair of 1210's together which works a treat with all the send, return and filter capabilities of the XONE-92. The one snag though being the lack of digital connectivity on the XONE-92. After getting my hands on a full digital CDJ1000, DJM1000 AND EFX1000 setup at the PLASA exhibition this weekend on the Pioneer stand, everything you read is true. The DJM1000 seems to be the ultimate for totaly exploiting the decks and effects (Now where did I put my credit card?). The XONE-92 is definitely the more portable of the two and it fits nicely into one of the UDG cases designed for the CDJ1000's. If you are looking for a more permenant fixture and have a spair £2k I'd go for the DJM1000. Looks like I need to start saving again!
